Field Trip Report:

Buck Creek,
Clay County, N.C.
June 29th-July 4th, 2005

Friday morning rolled around and we were joined by many more members ready for a day of collecting and fun.

We started off the day with a hearty breakfast cooked by Annie, thanks Annie!

John D. and Jim ready to go!

Our plan for the day was to head to the Cateye Cut for a while and explore the area. We considered heading up the mountain the back way and come back downhill that afternoon, we soon found an obstacle in our way.

I went up the road to find Jim and Ron whacking away at a large tree that was blocking the road.

Jim and Ron finished off the tree and we called Lee up to drag it out of the road with his truck.

The Forest Service should pay us for this stuff!
