Buck Creek,
Clay County, N.C.
June 29th-July 4th, 2005

Cool rock.

Blue and white sapphire.

Small hex crystals collected at the Herbert.

Small hex crystal, 1", with nice blue showing from the Herbert Mine.

The day was perfect, no rain, lots of cool rocks were collected. We all headed back to camp to meet with the others and see what was found. We had dinner and spent the evening playing guitar and sharing rock stories.

Rachel and Ron relaxing for the evening.

Scott having fun.

I'm not sure I want to know what this is ???

Me and Pat and Annie.

Sunday morning came and many of the members headed home, while more arrived. I was packing up camp when two new members of the Dirtyrockhounds site arrived from Texas. I sent them with Rich and Gene and a couple of others who were headed out to dig. Another great M.A.G.M.A. field trip, as Lee said, there were more happy faces than you could poke a stick at, and this is only a prelude to the Roundup.

See you there!!!
