Fieldtrip Report:
Diamond Hill Mine
Antreville, S.C.
March 3rd and 4th, 2007photos by: Lee Fleming
Well, it was an interesting weekend at Diamond Hill. The rain that fell upon the site the day before we arrived pretty well ruined any chance of digging in the pits.
Skeletal pit with about 10 feet of water in it!
Of course there was a plus to the situation, the huge amount of rain had unearthed a ton of material from the recent machine dig at the site, the members quickly began finding many nice specimens.
Huge skeletal specimen found by Steve Bonney.
