Sunday morning arrived but not many people, the last day of collecting was upon us and we made the best of it, those who did arrive were to tired to do much, myself included, I went back to the productive area in the skeletal hole and removed a few more specimens, around 1:00 I packed everything up , a few of the members made a trash roundup, I was happy to see there was hardly anything to be picked up after 10 days of collecting, around 2:00 I headed home to inspect my specimens.
A few of my finds after I washed them off with the hose.
Plate of crystals coated with a yellow coating that I have not seen there before, if you know what it is let me know.
Multi tipped skeletal crystals.
Other side of above specimen.
Heres one for the micro collectors, I found this one in the smoky pit, it looks like it has a corncob growing in the middle of the crystal.
One of my favorite specimens of the week is this cluster of large skeletal crystals.
A big thank you to Chet Karwoski for allowing us to collect and camp at the mine all week. Another fantastic trip for the club, they just keep getting better and better, see you next time 8^)
