Basecamp at sundown.
Annie and a nice salad for dinner Saturday night.
After dinner, we all sat and talked rocks and Annie and Pat played guitar for us, Pat even wrote me a song, (Pat I want the words to that song), then we built a fire and spent the rest of the evening sitting by it.
...................
Sunday morning came and we were again joined by many members, Chet and his crew were back in their pit, I worked the smoky pit for a while and then over to the skeletal pit, Mickey C. had pointed out a large skeletal rock that was protruding from a hole in the wall, after spending about an hour, I was able to remove it from the hole.
Me and my big skeletal plate, (see quarter for scale).
It took me, Mickey, and Glen to lift the plate into the back of Lees truck, he drove it up the hill and we deposited it on the ground next to my camper.
Some of us camped out until Tuesday, I had planned to stay for the week but my camper blew the starter and I need more supplies, I decided to head back to Asheville and restock everything and fix the starter, I loaded my big plate (220 pounds) into the front seat of my camper and in the process dropped two of my most vital organs, not to worry though, I was able to retrieve them when I returned Thursday.
A pic of the plate at home after I hosed it off.
