Prior to digging for the day, we announced that a community supper would be available for those present at 6:00 PM. About 5 o'clock Nancy, Keith, and I began the preparation of a spaghetti dinner. I cooked two large boxes of spaghetti noodles, Keith fixed a lettuce salad with all of the fixin's, and Nancy cooked two large pots of hamburger and Ragu sauce.
Meanwhile, we laid out wine glasses and opened a large bottle of wine (thanks Keith for the cork screw). Right at 6 o'clock, it looked like a cattle call with all of our MAGMA rock diggers coming to the food. We figured that we served over 40 people for diner that evening. Including the spaghetti, others brought some great bread, chocolate brownies, and other additions to our supper meal. We had all the food we could eat and most said they really enjoyed the good food in the camping environment.
