Fieldtrip Report:
Diamond Hill Machine Dig!
Antreville, S.C.
April 2008Report by: Rick Jacquot
We were one happy bunch of miners.
Once the digging was done, it was time to sort the material to be split among the crew.
Dave sorting rocks.
Some of the material recovered.
This was one of the largest crystals dug, around 8" in diameter.
The four stoog...I mean musketeers.
The larger matrix pieces were placed on cloth on the ground.
The nice singles and smaller plates were placed on tables.

Next are some of the specimens at the split. They are covered with an iron coating which was removed later. I'll show some cleaned material at the end of this report.
