Official Field Trip of the
Mountain Area Gem and Mineral Association

It was a great time at Graves Mountain as usual. We had fantastic weather Thursday, Friday and Sunday. On Saturday it rained lightly off and on and didn't really pick up until the afternoon. Even with the rain, the turnout was great! You can't beat a weekend at Graves Mountain!

The golf carts were running from Thursday till Sunday evening hauling people back and forth from the digging area.

Junior had many nice specimens on display.

Including Jon Lee's worn out digging boots!

Jon Lee is the King of Graves Mountain iridescent digging. Last year he hit a pocket of what was later named "Alligator Skin Iridescent." Above are a couple of pieces I added to my collection.
