We had people show up from as far away as Michigan, Colorado, and South Florida. I think I heard of one man that was there from California but that could have just been a rumor. Hey give me a break here this is my first time doing a trip report. Quick I need a distraction oh yea here's one. Check out this beryl crystal a boy found.

All that was on day one of the two day dig. Now on to the Crystal mine just down the road a bit. We set up camp on some very rough terrain. Had to shovel the area flat to put the tent up.

Here is a shot of what looks like the mine but it is really just a borrow pit. The real mine is up the road further. This is just where we camped.

Ahh yes what would camping be without a nice big fire.

Sunday morning I went back up to the store to sign in more people oh yea and get breakfast and then it was back to the mine for a full day of getting dirty. This area is several pits that have been dug and have pockets of crystals located just about everywhere.
