Saturday the 4th...

Lets eat!

After dinner, we all spent the afternoon trading and talking rocks and minerals....

As night came, we built a fire and sat around to enjoy the evening and each others company.

Cool Cali !

Tom livened things up with a nice fireworks display.

During the course of the Roundup we had well over 80 people in attendance, we watched a gem and rockhound related movie or two every night on our outdoor theater thanks to Richard Holmes, we had folks from all over the country trading and swapping minerals, our members visited dozens of local mines aside from our scheduled stops, and collected some of the best specimens I have seen from some of those sites. And we got to see many other members at the Grassy Creek show in Spruce Pine. After assessing the situation, we have decided that we would have had room for at least 100+, so the Roundup for 2008 will again be held at the "Rock Ranch"

The finest group of Rockhounds in the southeast!
