Field Trip Report:
Buck Creek,
Clay County, N.C.
June 29th-July 4th, 2005I awoke Saturday morning to a nice sunny sky, Annie was outside cooking another nice breakfast for everyone and many more members were arriving for the day.

A lot of people showed up Saturday that couldn't make it the previous two days. Some of the group went to the Cateye again, some went back to Herbert and to check out some other sites. A few went to hunt the large garnets at Deep Gap.

The group I was with went to check out some new locations, on the way there were more flowers.
Someone is very dedicated to rockhounding and painted their toenails with little sapphires, guess who?, and no, it's not me.
