I have never been much for the smoky quartz at this site, but Chet said I should get at least a good specimen of the smoky, so I found a vein and collected a few pieces.
Mickey Cecil from the Jacksonville Florida Club also joined us for the dig, he brought along several boxes of beautiful clam shells with the calcite from Fort Drum to give to the other members, thanks Mickey!
Mickey gave me this excellent Fort Drum specimen.
