Documentary Report,
Smoky Amethyst Crystals,
October 21st-November 2005

photos by: Lee Fleming, Whitney Kirk, Rick Jacquot

What a fantastic day of collecting, we had found many beautiful large smoky clusters for our collections, the next morning we were at it again and back into some interesting material, what started out as a three foot hole was soon about over our heads.

Dave showing off one of the smaller double terminated crystals we found Wednesday.

The hole at the end of the day, we had our trucks and cars loaded with many specimens, now it was time to head home and start the cleaning process.

El Specimens Finito!

(Finished Specimens)

The following pages are pictures of some of the cleaned specimens that I brought home:

Nothing particularly interesting about this piece except for the large crystal, it had stopped growing, and instead of one point, it has six seperate points.

Closeup of above specimen.

Single smoky crystal found by itself, very clear.

One of many double terminated crystal clusters found.

Nice phantoms showing in one of the crystals.
